Description
Greenhouse shading reduces radiation and internal temperatures, especially effective with limited ventilation. The static method, such as whitewashing with Blanco de España, regulates shading according to the density applied. It requires touch-up after rainfall and is removed with a bleach and water solution. Benefits include cooler temperatures and disease prevention in tomatoes, but may affect initial yields of sensitive crops such as tomatoes. Ideal for summer lettuce, increasing yields and quality.
