Environmental Conditions

Temperature: The environmental temperature for the application of paints oscillates between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, not painting if it is less than 5º or more than 40º. It is preferable to paint during the day. If it is too hot it can dry too fast. If the cold is excessive, the formation of Relative Humidity can be difficult.
Relative humidity. In case of extreme humidity conditions (above 80-85%), we would lose adherence of the support. It should not be painted outdoors when it is raining.
Wind: Excessive wind can cause paint loss and difficulty in obtaining homogeneous surfaces.

Support

It is essential to clean, sweep and/or degrease the substrate. A mechanical treatment is also recommended depending on the type of support:
- sandblasting
- shot blasting
- sanding
- milling
- etc...

Application Types

Depending on how the paint is to be applied, it must be prepared.
- Brush.
- Roller.
- Equipment. Aerographic or air less.

The type of thinner (water or solvent-based), the pot life of the mixture (in two-component systems) and the drying and recoating times should also be taken into account. Always refer to the technical data sheets of the paints.
