paint preparation

How to paint

Apply a first coat of paint thinned with 5-10% of water, after the drying time recommended by the manufacturer in the technical data sheet. Re-plaster small new defects that may be visible and sand the excess putty. Apply a second coat of paint as needed until a homogeneous surface is obtained.

The finish

There are two types of finish on the market; Matte (total absence of gloss), especially suitable for completely smooth surfaces. Satin, light gloss, indicated for supports with stippled or smooth walls very well shined.

If it has cracks or holes

Use fillers or putties to cover cracks or holes, then, once dry, proceed to sanding until a uniform finish is left.

The Color

If you decide to paint in color, keep in mind that the colors shown on the cards are not exactly what you will see on your wall, always on your wall will give a feeling of greater intensity. Painting the ceiling in white and the walls in color, will give you a greater feeling of spaciousness of the room. Try to find a neutral color that makes a link in your home and use more intense colors on loose walls to give a touch of originality to your decoration. Try to contrast the color of the wall with the color of your furniture, a light piece of furniture will always stand out more against a background painted in a darker color and vice versa.

Your Safety

Use appropriate protective equipment (gloves, mask, etc.), try to work in properly ventilated environments and under no circumstances allow children to come near the paint.

Everyone's Security

Do not flush paint residues, water or solvent from cleaning tools down the toilet or drains. Dispose of empty buckets in the designated places.
